一个6岁的小孩长到18岁的人生经历。片子没有特地的带入时间，但却无比残忍的诠释着时间。小孩从P孩级还在和他爹讨论如何找女朋友的事情，一转眼就睡在女生寝室了。父亲母亲也都明显看到皱纹，脱发，雀斑。片子没有任何关于年代的东西，正像平时的生活，但谁又不会从这部片子里面看到自己岁月的影子呢。是感人的电影。

当我们一天天老去开始思考如何让爱延续一生，如何面对各种随老去而来的矛盾，如何把曾经炽热如火的爱情变成深层隽永的亲情的时候，我们就真的老了。里面的对白如果按数量来说的话应该是登峰造极了吧，大段大段不切镜头的对白给演员很大压力哈。最后贴一下那封来自未来的信:
Dear Celine, I am writing to you from the other side of the woods.
I’m sending you this young man.
Yes, young.
And he will be your escort.
God knows he has many problems,
and he’s struggled his whole life connecting,
and being present, even with those he loves the most.
And, for that, he is deeply sorry.

You’re entering the best years of your life,

these middle years are only a bit more difficult than when you were 12
